Environmental Geosolutions recently signed a contract with the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food, and Rural Affairs to perform a comprehensive assessment of their Nitrogen-Index tool, which is used to guide manure applications in Ontario during the high-risk fall season. The DNDC model will be calibrated with field data collected across the province and will assess the impact of soil characteristics, precipitation, and manure management alternatives on nitrate leaching potentials.
