"An understanding of delivery"

Web-based mapping systems (WBMS) are becoming increasingly popular as organizations are realizing the potential audience for their products and the ease with which users can access the information. WBMS is one of the fastest-growing sectors of the geospatial market for a number of reasons:

  • availability to anyone with internet access (but can be password protected)
  • a very cost-effective method for disseminating geospatial data to a vast and wide-ranging audience
  • on-line access to professional mapping services and a number of standard GIS capabilities (e.g. queries, buffering) without having to invest in the GIS software
  • provides a consistent and common environment for a variety of end-users
  • designed to be easily-used and understood by non-GIS experts

Enviro-Geo works with our clients to determine the proper structure, access, and maintenance of their WBMS to ensure it satisfies the needs of a maximum number of users. All of our core services can be integrated into and distributed by a WBMS, including products derived from GIS applications, remote sensing datasets, and model-based tools.
